Is my brick purchase tax-deductible?
Your brick purchase is a charitable donation and is 100% tax-deductible.
You will receive a letter acknowledging your contribution after you place your order.
What are the sizes and prices of the bricks?
$100 -- 4"X8" Standard Brick
Up to 3 lines of upper case text, 20 characters per line.
$250 -- 8"X8" Prestige Brick
Up to 5 lines of upper case text, 20 characters per line.
What will fit on a brick?
You are allotted 20 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation marks. You may use any character on the keyboard, including "&" for "and" or dashes instead of a comma and space. Every space and punctuation mark counts as a character.
The FPLF reserves the right to review all text for appropriateness.
Can I put a personal image, graphic or special character on my brick?
To print logos, pictures, and graphics on the larger Prestige bricks, you must provide a black and white .JPEG file. Stock graphics are avaiable upon request. Prices for custom graphics are quoted on a case by case basis. Stock graphics are included in brick donation price. Contact PermanentMark at bricks@permamark.com
What should I write on my brick?
Create a message that is meaningful to you. You can choose a name, date, or phrase. The possibilities are endless! However, the inscription must be appropriate for a public place. (No advertisements or websites please)
Where will my brick be placed?
Bricks will be installed in a patio to the northeast of the front door of the McAuliffe Library.
Can I designate the location of my bricks?
Unfortunately, because of the installation method, brick location cannot be designated.
What happens after I order?
After placing your order, you will receive an email or letter verifying our understanding of your desired message. Included in this will be an acknowledgment of your tax-deductible contribution.
What if I am purchasing the brick as a memorial or gift?
You may request a certificate that you can send if you are purchasing the brick as a memorial or gift. Certificates will be mailed separately.
When does my credit card get charged?
Your credit card will be charged when you order the brick.
Can I pay by check?
You may purchase a brick by check. However online purchase is preferred, because it is simpler to acknowledge your purchase and make sure it's right.
